Descrizione: I. 'ZEPPELIN CREW'S BURIAL The charred remains of the Germans who set out to hurl death amongst defenceless women and children, being conveyed on an Army transport waggon'. RFC officers and men carry coffins into churchyard. Police line the route. 'FINAL SCENES OF L21. Officers and men of the R.F.C. carrying the unnamed coffins to the grave in Potters' Bar Cemetery'. Six coffins are set down by the edge of common grave. As the dead are interred the priest reads the burial rite and officers and men salute. LS over the heads of the crowd as the priest departs.II. 'MOP FIGHTING. Mounted on each others backs, soldiers engage in exciting mop fight. One of the items at the Military Sports at Felixstowe'. A crowd watches from a cricket (?) pavilion as two soldiers, both seated on the shoulders of others, fight with mops. The combat is quite fierce, and one man is eventually unseated.III. 'KHAKI MATINEE. Miss Ellaline Terris (sic) handling (sic) cigarettes to wounded soldiers as they arrive at the theatre. Over 2,000 men from all parts of the Empire attended'. A nurse holds open the door of a car for wounded men to dismount - the first sports a large bandage over one eye, another is on crutches. Less seriously wounded men arrive by bus. A crowd of men dressed in hospital blues regard the camera - some are South Africans , one is from the Middlesex Regiment. A Yeomanry medical officer walks into frame and the men draw his attention to the camera - he turns and stares into it rather vacantly but then smiles, and the men about him laugh. MS of Miss Terris offering cigarettes to the men - they accept these and also the envelopes (perhaps containing photos of Miss Terris ?) she is giving away. Men light up and puff theatrically.IV. 'ALLIES CONTROL GREEK POST OFFICE. The Greek Post Office at Salonika is now under the complete control of the Allies'. French troops, their arms stacked, stand about in front of the Post Office regarding the camera. LA.MS of main entrance of 'Postes et Télégraphes' and pan down to Australian and French troops - in left foreground locals look to camera.
